The Knill Group is a globally active group of companies with 27 companies in 16 countries around the world, headquartered in Weiz. Managed in the twelfth generation by the brothers Christian and Georg Knill, the companies are among the world market leaders in the two core divisions of energy transmission (Knill Energy) and special machine construction (Knill Technology). Wherever investments in infrastructure are made today in the fields of energy, communication and mobility, products and solutions from the Knill
companies can be found.
The last few years have been quite successful for the Knill Group. Despite the ongoing corona crisis, the group was able to achieve sales of around 300 million euros in the last fiscal year.
In order to be able to guarantee further growth in the coming years, the Knill Group is planning to invest an additional 15 million euros in its energy sector at the Austrian sites in Weiz and Kaindorf over the next two years. On the one hand, this is intended to bring production and infrastructure up to date and, on the other, to create the capacity for further growth. In times like these, the associated safeguarding and creation of further jobs in Styria is certainly positive.
