At the company Mosdorfer GmbH in Weiz the groundbreaking ceremony for the reconstructionof the production and storage halls took place. Over the next 15 months, the company will investin the renovation of its production halls, the raw material warehouseand in the acquisition ofnew machines and presses.
The selection of the new machines wasalreadymadein February 2021. With 08.06.2021 thestart of the rebuilding of the production halls was initiated. A total of 3 production halls, whichdate back to 1970, will be renovated and partially raised to make room for the new machines.The whole project is managed by the company Vatter and executed by the company PORR AGas construction manager.
Initially, the demolition of the roof and floor of the first two halls will be started. Thisdemolitionprocessthat has alreadybeen startedwill be done by the company Demolit Abbruch GmbHfollowed by the reconstruction of the roof and all tinsmith works which will be done by thecompany Silver Star Stahlbau GmbH. After the renovation of these two halls, the third hall willbe rebuilt, the warehouse will be roofed and new docking stations for trucks will be created.
The entireprojectis scheduled for completion in September 2022 and will contribute to securingjobs at the Weiz site in the long term.
